Deconstructed Beauty – Oberon Cosmetics:
“Changing the face of the cosmetics industry, one piece at a time”
My big project for the semester was presented yesterday and it went really well! Our assignment was to design a floor of the Bloomberg building here in NYC for a fictional cosmetics company, a la Loreal, and create an office floor plan for their new headquarters. Lots of specifics were required, so thank goodness this was group project, but here is the long story short: Our concept was to pixelate and modernize the traditional office floor plan, creating an open and collaborative space that has a constant fluidity and movement breeding new ideas and therefore helping the company stay globally competitive.
To make a very long process short, here is all our hard work in a nutshell!
My specific areas of the office were the Reception, the Art Department and the CEO’s office!
Our entire presentation board was 15 ft long!!!
Now thats a lot of work! My group wanted the space to be very cohesive, so we rendered everything using either Lumion, an amazing computer program out of Denmark, and Photoshop! I will zoom in and share with you all my specifics spaces!
Now for a special treat. With this particular rendering program we were able to create a virtual walk thru of the entire space, which was really helpful in making our concept clear, plus it helped us show that we were on of the only groups to design the ENTIRE floor!!!
This is how we opened our presentation, enjoy 🙂
Ok everyone! Thank you so much for checking out our presentation! We were really happy with how everything came out! A special shout out to my team mates Gabby and Hannah, you guys rock!
